60 days away from 2013

Don't Panick! It doesn't matter where in the world we are or how we will celebrate New Year's eve, we have something in common: we are two months away from 2013! 60 days may sound like a short period of time to set and accomplish goals, but a period of 2 months is more than enough to set, make a plan and start achieving goals

Last month, I learned significant goals people have achieved  in less than two months: writing a book (yes! an entire book); loosing weight (perhaps, 15-20 pounds!); implementing a political strategy for government election; getting 500 facebook "likes"; building cardio-resistance to running a 5K; monitoring average blood glucose to reflect the average blood sugar level; starting a 2 months "credit card diet" to avoid any over expending during holiday season; establishing the foundations for a non-profit organization or business; getting a new job; planning next year's vacations (or even a December's vacations!); spending more time with love ones; improving school grades; and enrolling in school.

Are any of these goals familiar to you?
Research suggests that while a lot of people who make resolutions do break them,  people who make resolutions are more likely to attain their goals

While helping others achieving their goals, I have learned that we are successful working towards the most difficult goals in our goals list, but we tend to procrastinate with the easy things or "easy cositas" of our list like keeping the house more clean, being more romantic with our partner, or punctual at work.

If this situation also sounds familiar, I recommend creating a list of goals and organize each goal based on the amount of energy or work you have to spend on each goal. Then, start working with those goals that requires less work or energy. You will see more results in a short period amount of time!

Goals are great to have and its important to track them. Be creative and find the best strategy to track or monitor your progress. You can use the fabulous old notebook you mother gave you as a birthday present, use your smartphone notes and calendar, or if you are more into the latest technology an online goal tracking tool might help you along the way.

Stay tuned for upcoming posts about how to start achieving your goals. If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate email me your questions at http://www.lifecoachingtosucceed.com/contact-us#!contact-us/c24vq.
